Development of advanced statistical tools for analysis and interpretation of cosmological data.

The successful candidate will develop and apply tools and algorithms for the statistical analysis of the results from cosmological surveys in the Bayesian and/or frequentist framework. As an example, this might include but not be limited to: information theory applied to the optimal choice of prior distributions in the Bayesian framework, to model comparison, to the study of anomalies and tensions among datasets; statistical diagnostic tools applied to sampling methods; statistical combination of data from different experiments/analyses. There will be the possibility to be involved in teaching and outreach activities connected to the research topics.
