Two Permanent Faculty Positions

The Department of Physics at Durham University is advertising two permanent faculty positions, at the level of assistant or associate professor, with an application deadline of 28 September. The Institute for Computational Cosmology is particularly interested in hearing from candidates who would like to collaborate in building the next generation of simulations. For example, candidates may wish to develop or deploy new numerical methods, subgrid models, or applications of simulations to multimessenger astronomy. However, applications will be considered in any area that complements the ICC’s current research interests.The Centre for Extragalactic Astronomy welcomes applications from those with research interests in the field of observational astronomy and the exploitation of large survey datasets. Applications are particularly encouraged from candidates with a background in radio or sub-mm interferometry, to expand Durham’s involvement in the SKAO.
