Post-doctoral position on CTA NectarCAM calibration, data analysis, and science preparation at IJClab, Orsay, France
Event Details:
IJCLab ( https://www.ijclab.in2p3.fr/ ), a laboratory that is part of the French IN2P3/CNRS institute and of the Paris-Saclay University, is launching a call for applications for a post-doctoral position to work in the field of high-energy gamma-ray observations with the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA). The post-doctoral fellow will in particular contribute to the NectarCAM camera calibration system commissioning, to the analysis of the first data from the Medium-Sized Telescope (MST) that should be installed at La Palma site in 2023, and to CTA science preparation.
The position will be available 1st of November (with a negotiable starting date) and it is funded for a period of two years. Candidates must hold a PhD, obtained less than 2 years before the start of the position. Application and selection will take place from July 2022, until the position is filled.
