Candidate profile
The School of Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile invites applications for a X-year appointment in the position of Electronics Researcher for High-Energy Physics Experiments with a salary of $2.000.000. The candidate should hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering or Experimental Particle Physics.
It is desired that the candidate should have familiarity/experience in most of the following topics: analog front-end design, integrated circuit design and characterization, PCB design, FPGA implementation. It is a plus to have some particle detector technologies and detector calibration experience, but not exclusive.
The selected candidate will work on High-Energy Physics experiments such as ATLAS, JUNO, Na64, CLIC, etc. in collaboration with SAPHIR and PUC researchers. Stays and trips to CERN and managing the laboratories at PUC will be part of the tasks. The successful candidate is expected to apply for government grants independently.
